You learn an immense amount of information on consulting, city planning, traffic engineering, and the many other subsets of the transportation industry. Fehr & Peers does a great job of teaching you what you need to know and gives you ample resources and opportunity to learn what you want on your own.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the availability to continue work into the school year. It took me some time to get comfortable with the work but once I got the hang of things I had about three weeks left.
Advice
Pace yourself. Take your time understanding things and ask questions! Keep a notepad and schedule on hand everyday.
