
Hertel Lab Work Study
The Hertel Lab is seeking student assistant with interest in molecular biology research to wash, autoclave and re-shelve glassware, make solutions and buffers, refilling liquid nitrogen tanks, and keeping the lab clean and orderly. Additional responsibilities maybe to upkeep mammalian cell lines, put together documentation, do simple calculations, set up experiments. We are looking for someone who is an independent worker and can follow written and verbal instructions.
Student will learn basic laboratory techniques.
Hours range from 6-8 hours/week.
MUST have Federal, Presidential, or LAEP work-study award. MUST be able to work summer and willing to commit at least 2 years.
