Work-Study Website Student Assistant

Maintain Division of Equal Opportunity and Compliance’s websites. Add new pages and update information as needed.  Verify and add links, ensuring all linked information are current, all websites always perform at their maximum and meet accessibility standards.  Assist staff in reaching out to UCI campus constituents, including student groups/organizations, for marketing campaigns and postings. Also, assist staff with general office support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Work-study.
  • Strong skills in web development; proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with creating forms, surveys and other digital data gathering methods that can be embedded in websites or linked to email.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical aspects of the project effectively.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems, such as Word Press or Cascade.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Sensitivity to diversity.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills as a developer and collaborator.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable, organized, creative, tech savvy, and a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full-time UCI undergraduate student status.  Open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
  • Web design and organizational skills are a plus.
  • Experience designing websites to meet WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA standards desired.
