IT Student Assistant/Web Developer/UCI Work Study Preferred | UC Irvine - Beckman Laser Institute

Web development skills preferred. Experience with WordPress a plus.

Desktop and network computing support. Windows LAN support. Primary responsibilities include: Assist Beckman Laser Institute (BLI) Programmer Analyst with desktop and networking support for workstation connected to a windows LAN.

Respond to technical support requests from BLI faculty and staff. Install software. Research options for various equipment purchases. Assist with troubleshooting problems in the desktop environment. Work independently to identify projects that need to be completed. Must be capable of following up on requested work and trusted with access to the network. Ability to communicate with UCI computing support personnel for additional knowledge and follow up. Must have ability to communicate with researchers and staff that have little knowledge of computing. Provides computing consulting services, network administration. Possession of basic skills for this job are required. This can be used as a learning experience.
