STUDENT ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Student Assistant 4 (Facilities)

Department: HSSoE-Dean’s Office Facilities

 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

 

This position provides assistance to the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Facilities Unit, in daily operations of the ISEB facility.  Duties are related to the general maintenance, organization, reservations, Key organizations, and cleanliness of the building facilities. This position will periodically provide office assistance to other units as needed. 

 

SKILL SET/QUALIFICATIONS:

 

All qualified applications MUST include demonstrated experience in the following to be considered for an interview: 

  • Previous practical experience using excel, Microsoft office/outlook, tools, cleaning.
  • Ability to move heavy objects with or without the use of moving equipment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects.
  • Proven ability to work independently and follow directions.

 

Additional requirements to be considered for an interview include the following:

  • Resume and 2023-2024 (or 2024-25) Work Study Award letter provided with online application.
  • Availability within the hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Availability during breaks and summer.
  • Adherence to UCI and School safety and health policies.
  • Ability to carry-lift loads over 30 pounds.
