Business Administrative Student Assistant
Candidate must be able to work in person, on campus. In addition to working during the academic year, candidate must be able to work during the summer.
Important: This is NOT a student RESEARCHER position; this is a financial/ administrative student assistant clerical position.
This is an in-person position and not telework/remote position.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
The qualified candidate will provide general clerical and administrative assistance to the staff of the Advanced Power and Energy Program at The Samueli School of Engineering.
DUTIES INCLUDE: Filing, scanning, copying, answering phones, processing reimbursement requests, low-value purchasing with university palcard (university credit card), processing incoming deliveries, processing shipping label requests, basic reconciliation of purchasing documents and ledgers, running errands, making deliveries and pickups across campus, assisting with organization events, and other entry level administrative duties as needed.
SKILL SET/QUALIFICATIONS:
Good attendance and reliability a must.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to exercise and maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift 30lbs or less and make deliveries to other campus offices.
Experience with the KFS financial system is a plus.
Self-motivated.
