Summer UCDC Program 2019 - Extended Deadline

The UCDC Summer Internship Program is an internship program in Washington, D.C., sponsored by UCI’s Division of Career Pathways. Each year the program selects outstanding UCI undergraduate students (including graduating seniors) for ten week internships in Washington, D.C. It is an ideal vantage point for students to examine behind- the-scenes activities that shape and implement our nation’s future course.

Our goal, as the UCDC Summer Internship Program, is to prepare each student both professionally and personally for the internship experience in Washington D.C. Students admitted into the UCDC Summer Internship Program work closely with the coordinators and advisor in developing a competitive portfolio.

The program begins in Fall quarter with the recruitment process. Once accepted into the program, students meet regularly throughout Winter and Spring quarters for a workshop series which provides them valuable information on how to successfully secure an internship and encourages them to meet their peers. As part of the UCDC program, you will be trained to secure your own internship but you will not be placed in an internship.

After your preparation here at UCI, you’ll move in to the UC Washington Center on June 15th or 16th and begin your internship that week. Move out of the UC Washington Center will be on or before August 24th.

Eligibility criteria:
·        Must be a regularly enrolled, UCI undergraduate student, including June 2019 graduating seniors
