Gallery Attendant (Work Study Only)

Work Study Students Only: The University Art Galleries are currently seeking professional, attentive, dependable and punctual students that hold an interest in contemporary art and possess strong public communication skills to apply to the position of Gallery Attendant. Duties include: guarding and monitoring artwork and galleries; providing the public with information and directions; opening and closing procedures including securing alarm systems; cleaning and organization; contributing to social media accounts; assisting with set up of receptions and special events. The job of Gallery Attendant is two-fold: 1. provide information to the public; and 2. responsibly protect and secure artworks and facilities.

Must be professional, organized, self-starter, quick learner, friendly, helpful, approachable with a courteous demeanor. Customer service and previous work experience preferred. This position is part-time (5-18 hours per week). Students must maintain at least 5 hours per week. Must be able to work Saturdays.
