This internship is an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about web technologies and want hands-on experience building production-ready applications. You'll work alongside experienced software engineers to develop new features, improve user experiences, and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on our customers.

This position is remote within the State of California. Employees must maintain an approved work location.

Position Summary

As a Web Development Intern, you'll participate in the full software development lifecycle—from planning and implementation to testing and deployment. You'll collaborate with designers, product stakeholders, and software engineers to build intuitive, responsive, and high-performing web applications.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, writing clean code, learning new technologies, and creating exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies.
  • Build reusable, maintainable, and well-documented user interface components.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into clean, accessible, and responsive web experiences.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to implement new features and enhance existing applications.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and overall user experience.
  • Test applications across browsers, devices, and screen sizes to ensure consistent functionality.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end issues.
  • Integrate front-end components with APIs and back-end services.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior developers.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation and maintaining development standards.
  • Research emerging web technologies and recommend improvements to existing applications.
  • Contribute to Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in software development. 
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
  • Solid understanding of responsive web design principles.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and receive feedback.
