Engineering Intern

RESOLVEM Inc. is an engineering services company specializing in transferring product designs to design control and manufacturing. We work with companies that develop medical devices, helping them bring their designs under design control, prepare them for mass manufacturing, and support their pilot manufacturing and transition to commercial-scale production. We focus on the details so our customers can concentrate on the big picture—driving key design improvements and meeting customer needs. RESOLVEM Inc. clients vary in terms of in-house manufacturing capabilities, but they rely on custom components and assemblies from contract manufacturers to meet their production needs.

Job Overview:

  • The Engineering Intern will help RESOLVEM Inc. staff develop and support a variety of dynamic needs for the organization and its customers in Systems, Components, Process, Continuous Improvement, and Research & Development.
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States
  • In-person with earned remote work flexibility
  • Rate: $25-30/hr based on skills/capabilities

Availability:

  • Summer Full Time (40 hrs/week): 22-June thru 21-August (two openings) Project based in Carlsbad, CA
  • Fall thru Spring Part Time (2-3 days a week 20hrs/week) : 24-August thru 21-May (one opening) based in Irvine, CA  

Responsibilities:

The Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to learn from the potential following experiences: development of automated systems for project management, fixtures, software, drawings, bills of materials, purchasing/ specifications, process development, statistical data analysis, labeling development, risk management, inspection, and qualification/validation/testing for product and automated equipment and/or software. In addition to practical experience, the intern(s) will have access to guidance from engineering experts in the field fostering professional growth and development throughout the internship. RESOLVEM Inc. seeks humble, engaged, flexible, collaborative and accomplished students that would like to learn and grow while completing their education.

Required Education:

Current standing as a Junior or above at an accredited university studying Mechanical, Computer Science, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, IT, Robotics, Machine Learning, or equivalent Engineering or Technical programs.

Required Experience:

Work/projects using SolidWorks, must be able to provide examples of parts, fixtures, assemblies, drawings created. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have Experience:

Current certification under IPC/WHMA-A-610 or is willing to take the training, Monday.com, Agile/Scrum/Waterfall, Use of standards, Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ and a previous internship.
