Student Assistant - Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory
The UC Irvine Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory is hiring a student to assist in marketing projects throughout the school year and during the summer. The student will support, coordinate, manage, and execute social media strategies and will help develop new website content. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to support several projects simultaneously is desired.
Duties include:
• Assist with executing a multi-channel social media strategy to increase engagement and social sharing.
• Assist with developing content for communication platforms.
• Create, manage and distribute social media content including social media posts, photos, videos, graphics, etc.
• Assist in responding to external inquiries and basic engagement
• Assists with implementing various events and programs
• Available to work in-person during summer programming
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in social media, marketing, graphic design, and/or communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google applications
• Basic knowledge of handling a mirrorless camera
• 1+ years of experience video creating and post-production editing
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiar or experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Acrobat
• Familiar or experience with WordPress
