Custom Solution Intern

The Custom Solution Intern supports McGraw Hill School Education by partnering with cross-functional teams to develop state-specific Math, Science, and Social Studies print and digital products. This role provides hands-on exposure to how customized K-12 instructional materials are built, managed, and delivered to meet unique state requirements.

Why This Role Is Exciting:

This internship offers the opportunity to work on real products that will go to market in districts and states across the country. You will collaborate with Product Management, Academic Design, Digital, and leadership teams to see how strategy turns into execution.

You will gain a behind-the-scenes look at how K-12 instructional programs are customized to meet state standards, customer requirements, and timeline commitments. This is a chance to contribute meaningfully while building foundational skills in product development, cross-functional collaboration, and project execution.

This is a 10-week summer internship from June 8th – August 21st and is a remote internship. Candidates need to currently be pursuing a degree within the United States.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with members of the Custom Solutions Product Management, Academic Design, and Digital teams on active state customization projects.
  • Support coordination across internal and external stakeholders to help ensure project milestones, requirements, and timelines are met.
  • Assist in tracking project schedules, deliverables, and documentation to maintain alignment across teams.
  • Support the development process of print and digital products to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Education, Business, Computer Science, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn how products are developed and brought to market.
