Student Assistant - Blumberg Lab

The Blumberg Lab is looking to hire a student assistant for Spring 2026.  Duties will include glassware cleaning, autoclaving, and solution making.  The student will work with the principal investigator and senior laboratory staff to inventory laboratory supplies, summarize orders for the lab manager to place, file orders and packing slips and maintain the laboratory electronic database in FileMaker Pro.  After training by the PI and/or lab manager the student will feed frogs, check water parameters in the vivarium and, keep the vivarium and laboratory work areas tidy and neat.

A successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.  The candidate should be reliable and conscientious in their work.  Basic skills in chemistry and biology are required.  Candidate must be an undergraduate majoring in Biological Sciences or Chemistry.  Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures is required. Work-study (financial aid) funding is required.
