Position: Physical Sciences Computing Support IT Assistant
Summary: The Physical Sciences Computing Support IT Assistant will assist in System Administration of the hardware and software life cycles in the School of Physical Sciences.
Looking for a reliable, organized, self-starter and driven undergraduate UCI student with work-study to assist in the Physical Sciences Computing Office.
The duties for this position include:
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and debug computers in an Endpoint management platform and device management.
• Assist with inventory management and documentation.
• Provide end-user technical support to faculty, staff, and students of computers, printers, and various Audio-Visual systems in conference rooms and classrooms.
• Working knowledge and experience with Apple computers, Windows, Microsoft Office products, and computer hardware.
• Demonstrated experience with configuring operating systems.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student currently enrolled in classes at UC Irvine.
- Must be able to work 9 hours per week.
- Must have knowledge or interest in IT system administration.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently within a provided deadline.
- Passion for following relevant trends in IT system administration.
Approximate hours per week: 9 hrs. per week
Pay Rate: $16.90 per hour
