Holistic Healing and Support Services Assistant
UC IRVINE CARE STUDENT ASSISTANT - HOLISTIC HEALING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Position Summary:
Supervised by CARE Professional Staff, student assistants will help with the maintenance, development, and implementation of CARE programs and services. The student assistant will focus on healing programming and support services. This position is expected to work approximately 10 hours per week through December 31, 2026, not including academic breaks, and will be compensated at the rate of $20.00 per hour. There is the potential to extend the position through Spring 2027. This position is work-study eligible.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Support Services, the Holistic Healing Student Assistant will assist in the planning and implementation of new and ongoing holistic healing programming. Additionally, the Student Assistant will assist with resource development, data collection, and evaluation of both support services and holistic healing programming.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of trauma-informed holistic healing and other survivor-centered resources through a lens of social justice, cultural competence, intersectionality, and empowerment of historically marginalized and underserved populations
- Assist with holistic healing program coordination, including attending meetings, drafting and sending email communications, and assisting with marketing and event logistics
- Research on and off-campus opportunities for collaboration in holistic healing programming and in the enhancement of resources for survivors of power-based violence, including updating current client resources database
- Support the collection, organization, analysis, reporting of evaluation data
- Contributing content for the CARE newsletter and social media account
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality related to support services
- Other relevant duties as assigned to help with achieving grant deliverables
Minimum skills and qualifications:
- Must be a currently enrolled student at UC Irvine in good academic standing
- Flexibility and willingness to engage in new processes and professional development
- Skills related to project management
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, including among teams, public speaking, and written communication.
- Understanding of Google Suite, Canva, Social Media Platforms, and/or Project Management Systems.
- Experience with material creation and data analysis
- Understanding of the dynamics of power-based personal violence, holistic healing, trauma-informed care, and on-campus or local support resources, or a genuine desire to learn about these topics
- Skills related to the critical analysis of resources to ensure consistency, congruence to CARE’s mission, and safety for clients.
