- Must be a UCI Undergraduate Student
- Genuine passion for outreach activities to minorities
- Great administrative skills (making copies, sending emails, working with data, etc.)
- Strong work ethic

- Excellent time management skills
- Great communication skills
- Must be available to work Wednesdays 1.00pm-4.30pm.

Desired:
- Very good knowledge of Spanish (writing, reading, speaking)

- Good at photography
- Good at creating flyers and other recruitment materials

Job Description:
The Math CEO Outreach Assistant will support the Math CEO leadership team in the organization of outreach initiatives aimed at increasing interest and proficiency in mathematics and familiarity with college among middle school students from underserved communities.
The Math CEO Outreach Assistant will report to the UCI Math CEO Coordinator for instructions and administrative duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help run a free math after-school program engaging Latinx middle school students and contribute to the creation of a friendly and joyful learning environment for youth
- Assist with meetings logistics during the after-school enrichment meetings (Wednesday 2-4pm), e.g., distribute snacks and educational materials, record attendance, take digital pictures. Note: You will not be asked to teach math to the students
- Assist with meetings preparation: e.g., make photocopies of educational material, set up the rooms for the meeting, assemble manupilatives
- Work collaboratively with other members of the UCI Math CEO team
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of program data (e.g., attendance, formative assessment, evaluation)
- Additional support of the Math CEO programs as required by supervisor
Salary Level: $16.50
Location: UCI Campus
Approximate Hours: 8-10 Per Week
