Student Assistant - Kim Lab
The Kim Lab in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology is looking to recruit a part-time student with work-study status to perform basic lab maintenance work. The Kim Lab studies how transcription factors control ce identity, and use gene editing and genomic assays in stem cell models of development.
Tasks will include washing dishes, operating the dishwasher and autoclave (includes buffer preparation and autoclaving tips/tubes and glassware), general lab maintenance and upkeep, stocking and ordering supplies, performing inventory, organizing electronic documents, and assisting with ongoing research in the laboratory.
The work requires attention to detail, follow through on assigned tasks, and communication with other lab members.
Basic Qualifications:
Biology or related (e.g. biomedical engineering) major with interest in laboratory research, work-study status, commitment to working 10 hours a week and for at least one year
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in a laboratory
