Marketing Assistant
This is a Work Study position only.
Hourly rate $17.00 per hour. 4 to 10 hours per week, depending on availability.
Under the direction of the Office of Marketing and Communications for the Claire Trevor School of the Arts (through the Multimedia Specialist and Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications), the Marketing Assistant handles several aspects of publicity functions as they relate to supporting the School and its Departments of Art, Dance, Drama and Music.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Information gathering for performance programs. Ensure that all signoffs are received and that materials have been proofed and edited. Ensure programs are delivered to box office manager prior to opening nights.
- Oversee Social Media campaigns and support the UCI Arts social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Support designs for School performances and productions.
- Support mass mailings, both in print and digital.
- Coordinate on-campus marketing, including distribution of brochures, advertising, flyers, marquee announcements, etc.
- Distribute Media Advisories of events to appropriate media and event calendars as assigned.
- Distribute posters and marketing materials across campus as assigned.
- Restock marketing literature and event information holders as needed.
- Maintain month-to-month marketing archive (digital and hard copies), including collateral materials, press releases, media coverage, etc.
- General knowledge of printer operation and maintenance.
- Perform all functions in a helpful, friendly manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in the Adobe Suite of programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred.
