Industry Partnerships/Programming Student Assistant
Work Study Position with UC Irvine Graduate Division – Industry Partnerships & Professional Development Programming
The UC Irvine Graduate Division is seeking motivated student assistants with Work-Study funding to support Industry Partnerships and Professional Development programming.
Position Requirements
Must have a current Work-Study award
Must submit a current resume (cover letter optional but appreciated)
Approximately 8–10 hours per week, with scheduling flexible based on academic commitments
Work will be a combination of in-person and remote tasks
Position Responsibilities
Provide event support, including preparation, set-up, check-in, and take-down for Graduate Division Industry Partnership programs and events
Assist with data entry and analytics
Monitor and update the Graduate Division’s events and job search portal, 12twenty
Create digital flyers and promotional materials in Canva (preferred but not required)
Develop professional PowerPoint slides for events, workshops, and presentations
Draft and edit documents in Microsoft Word and Google Docs
Manage spreadsheets and track data in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Communicate upcoming events to graduate scholars through email and outreach
Respond to graduate student inquiries via the Graduate Division’s dedicated email account
Professionally interact with graduate students and industry partners by email, phone, and in-person
Demonstrate willingness to learn new tasks, ask questions, and follow instructions
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Google Docs and Google Sheets
Experience with Canva or similar design tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Interest in graduate education and professional development programming
