
Student Researcher
Job Description:
The student researcher will assist in tasks that support research in a biological and physical sciences lab. Tasks include placing orders for, receiving, and organizing reagents and supplies, cleaning and sterilizing lab consumables, maintaining research equipment, scheduling waste pickups, updating inventory databases, updating websites, formatting and editing documents, and other research-related tasks. Highly skilled student researchers may assist in experimental biophysics work as well. This is a work-study position only.
Experience / Skills Required:
Lower division coursework in biology, chemistry, and/or physics. Experience in lab courses is preferred. Regular attendance is required. The student researcher must be punctual, have a good work ethic, and be willing to learn new techniques. Students must be work-study eligible. Prior experience in a research setting is required.
