
Student Facilities Assistant
The Student Facilities Assistant, under the supervision and direction of the Director of Facilities for the Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences, is responsible for assisting with facilities and maintenance duties for the School of Biological Sciences buildings. Duties include:
1. Inspection of classrooms, conference rooms and patio furniture for cleanliness and readiness for meetings and classes. Re-set chairs & furniture, wipe down surfaces, clean whiteboards, empty trash as needed.
2. Mailroom oversight including collection and distribution of mail to staff mailboxes and USPS collection box.
3. Process keys and access card requests. Update key inventory in computer software. Correspond with key requesters to schedule and coordinate key pick-ups. File work orders with campus Lock Shop to order keys. Collect keys from Lock Shop office. Troubleshoot key issues, test keys at the buildings as-needed. Respond to lock out calls and provide access as needed.
4. Receive facilities request emails from faculty, staff and students. File work orders into the work order system.
5. Oversee room reservation requests. Manage reservations calendar to ensure all requests are booked and confirmed. Provide email confirmation to room requesters.
6. Perform building walkthroughs, inspecting buildings and facilities for cleanliness and maintenance concerns.

Must be able to lift upwards to 40 pounds.
