Customer Service Assistant (CSA) - WORK STUDY REQUIRED

Customer Service Assistants (CSAs) support the UCI Division of Career Pathways (DCP) with student and employer services. The role serves as student-ambassadors as they answer questions from employers, students, and the public. We are looking for students with strong communication skills who can interact professionally with others in person, virtually, over the phone, and by email. CSAs must maintain confidentiality and be organized, flexible, and reliable. We are interested in students with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to work in a team environment. Please note that candidates must have current work study awards. 

In this position, you will strengthen the following three (3) Career Readiness competencies: Professionalism, Communication, and Problem Solving.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership in front desk operations and support including opening and closing of the office
  • Monitors DCP master schedules for career center events and acts as a point of contact
  • Responds to email for the career center email box and phone messages on behalf of DCP
  • Works independently on tasks, but can also work well and potentially lead other team members to find solutions
  • Have experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, be tech savvy and able to learn new tech or functionality easily, and be able to show or teach others
