Website & Digital Content Assistant
Location: Alec Glasser Center for the Power of Music & Social Change (School of Social Ecology)
Position Type: Part-Time (5 -10 hours/week)
Compensation: $17 / hour
Start Date: 9/1/2025 (negotiable)

Are you a detail-oriented student who enjoys working with websites and digital tools? Do you have experience working with WordPress and AWS servers? We’re looking for a Website & Digital Content Assistant to help keep our website accurate, engaging, and up to date. This is a great opportunity to contribute your experience in web content management while contributing to the public face of our work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly update website content (event announcements, staff bios, news items, etc.)
- Assist in proofreading and formatting text for clarity and consistency
- Upload images, documents, and other digital media as needed
- Help ensure web content is accessible and visually well-organized
- Coordinate with staff to keep content current and accurate; coordinate with social media assistant to align all digital communications
- Monitor the site for outdated or broken links and suggest improvements; help keep plugins updated and site backed up
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student at UC Irvine
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Clear writing and editing skills
- Experience with WordPress
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Bonus Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with basic HTML or web editing tools
- Interest in user experience (UX) and accessibility
- Background in communications, digital media, or web design
