Department Description

The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine offers three dynamic MBA programs – plus PhD, specialty masters and undergraduate business degrees – that prepare business leaders for our digitally driven world. Position Summary

  • The Research Assistant (RA) will support a dissertation study investigating hiring discrimination based on gender and criminal records.
  • The RA will submit pre-prepared applications to a list of real job postings provided by the researcher.
  • All application materials (resumes, cover letters, emails) and assignment instructions (which applicant to submit for which job) will be fully prepared in advance.

Required Qualifications

  • Open job postings from a pre-vetted list and verify that each posting is still active.
  • Submit applications using assigned resumes and cover letters.
  • Log each submission in a shared tracking spreadsheet.
  • Monitor assigned email inboxes for callbacks and record responses.
